I wake up at the company retreat in time for breakfast. I suddenly realize I haven't bought enough fruit for the crepes that Mark's going to make. I start panicking because people are coming in for breakfast. I walk outside and quickly try to think of the nearest town where I can find fruit, but it would take me at least an hour to get there and back. I look over my shoulder and there just happens to be a produce stand on the lodge property. I walk inside and the next thing I know, I have two handfuls of blueberries and I'm trying to figure out where to take them. Mark's ahead of me, washing salad. Kirk's grabbing handfuls of grapes and I'm yelling at him that you can't put grapes inside of crepes.
These are the things that wake me up at 4 a.m.

Must be sober enough to sign your name.

Johanna, Lisa and Linda had formed a burlesque troupe that was supposed to perform at a house party. They needed me to sign for the catering but I had to pass a breathalyzer test first.
Yeah. No idea where this came from but the burlesque part might have had something to do with a club in Seattle I was telling some friends about last week.

It was the scallop mousse!

None of your damn business.

This one's a little fuzzy but I remember sitting in a restaurant. There's a woman sitting across from me talking about the piece of food on her plate. It is a scallop mousse with little pearls of something (roe? Actually looks like those little scrubby beads you find in facial cleanser ) floating in it. She is complaining that it isn't prepared properly, that he spoon should just float through it.

Looks like the company retreat (but it's not). Kirk stands up and wants to read a poem that he and Kacie have written. Can't remember if he actually read the poem to me.
Continuing the experiment on how outside stimuli affects my dreams, my friend Ali decided to bombard me with a word yesterday in hopes that it would make it into my dream. That word was "synergy". Not sure if it's because synergy isn't a real thing, or just because I freaking hate that word, but it did not make it into my dreams last night. Will try again with something more tangible.

This is not a scallop mousse. These are just scallops. But I'm hungry and they looked good.
